Moore Networking was established in 1994 (originally as SMPM) to provide consultancy, knowledge transfer and project management services to build and maintain business networks across the public and private sectors. In 2003 Moore Networking devised the award-winning SCRN model which has evolved with the guidance of our public sector and contractor partners to utilise planned construction and maintenance spend to leverage employment, environmental, apprenticeship, student work placement and other outcomes across the local authority remit. In parallel with the growth of network scope, a flexible partnering platform with a unique underpinning online application was developed to enable multiple procurer partners, business support and training providers, schools and members of the public to engage and benefit.

Through our work with the construction sector we realised that traditional online procurement methods that predominantly use adapted document management systems don’t deliver the additionality inherent in the SCRN model, so ChainBuilder was developed as a supply chain development and tendering tool for Contractors and ChainLinked was developed as an all-sector supply chain development and tendering tool for major procurers such as local authorities – we think they are the best available!

sally moore - managing director

Sally is the founder and Managing Director of Moore Networking which she established in 1994. Sally developed her extensive project management and networking skills in the International Media Management sector. Since founding Moore Networking she and her team have facilitated and coordinated a range of self-sustaining business networks for clients such as DTI (DBERR), Business Links, Small Business Service, and a number of Local Authorities, Sector Skills Councils, and Regional Development Agencies. Sally is the creative driver of the team, providing strategic leadership and stakeholder management.

mark baxter - director of network development

Mark was formerly Head of Business Improvement Services for ConstructionSkills representing the Sector Skills Council on the SSDA Management of Leadership Board, Director of Operations of TrustMark and a senior manager at Business Link prior to joining Moore Networking to lead the Network Development Team. He has worked in the Middle East as an importer/distributor of construction materials, has considerable entrepreneurial experience having established and run four successful businesses and a has a strong background in business consultancy, business support and network development. Mark’s focus is on the further development of our services and networking portfolio into wider markets, new sectors and enhancing customer value within existing networks.

david moore - director of network operations

David leads the SCRN network operations team and coordinates all administrative activity, event management as well as managing the development and implementation of each network website. His team is responsible for ensuring document and web quality control, customer service, and the interface with small businesses. He was Managing Director of three boat building companies before joining Moore Networking in 2001 bringing extensive project and quality management experience to the role as well as empathy for small business concerns.
